Creativity Climbs

There is this odd, but familiar joy I have found with creative writing. It is like reconnecting with an old friend that you have not seen in years. Your heart warms and there is this slight excitement for that open door. So you go on and explore yourself and the parts that you thought you had left behind. There is still time to change the course of this life to do the things that matter most.

For some odd reason I thought that my creativity was childish and wild and that I must hide that side in order to align. That dreams are reckless and they leave your heart helpless, but what is a life without hope. What is a day without the sun and a bird without a song. We are here on this grand adventure to explore the inner magic looking to be bold.

So when the night becomes the day do not forget these thoughts that carry you away. There is a gift that is passionately waiting in line with your priorities, will you move your heart beat to the front of the queue. Exercise trust to love fully and deeply the force required to adjust course and push through to the other side of doubt and act out.

Often we are on the right track as we begin to climb the mountain of our own creativity and then we waffle in uncertainty. In this image I am wearing head to toe Elsa Fitzgerald pieces from the Baltimore Made Daisy dress to the Opera Shawl with Balinese Embroidery and custom made shoes. I am holding my beloved heritage sewing machine I got for Christmas.

The is the Duchess of Baltimore board I created as a point of reference when I was designing the collection that we would make in the USA.

In this image I am in the Maison Elsa Fitzgerald workroom wearing a vintage dress, jacket and hat with the Daisy dress on the form. I love wearing vintage as it reminds me how we can feel in a world of elegance and sophistication. The challenge with vintage garments are that they are delicate and rip easily.

Here I am holding the new lace that arrived from a German lace company in New York to make the Kebaya suit. On the table is lace fabric from Bali for the Daisy dress in champagne. I am wearing the Elsa Fitzgerald Zelda dress with a lace top a kind friend Andrew one of the most sophisticatedly chic man I know in Baltimore. Of course he is originally from England.
