Journey On

Reshaping the inner world strengthens a level of courage that is hard to ignore. Mental training routines of self investment has instilled leaps that are without bound. What I mean is by showing up to the seemingly challenging tasks one is able to pull the power from within to do the work that has been ignored. Life starts to fall into place as you begin to reach.

Trust stabilizes and the heart begins to awaken to that morning song. The silver once tarnished begins to shine and you begin to remember what it feels like to align. You are doing the intentional work seeing shifts that you had hoped for that have finally transformed. By sitting face to face with yourself you begin to understand the inner whispers calling you to move beyond this resistance.

You are shaping days that move into the night without the haze. You have captured the spirit that drifts you back onto the path where doors open without force. You may question why you made it so hard on yourself all these years, but what matters most is that you set your vision toward the expansiveness of your dreams through this grand adventure.

Becoming the full expression of myself has been fun and also a reminder that I was already on the path, but had seemed to get sidetracked. So I am back to the creative wheel spinning my dreams into a textile tapestry.

I recommend surrounding yourself with friends who will hold you accountable to yourself. Pat Bourque is that creative accountability friend who shows up even when I am trying to find every excuse to say let’s cancel the shoot. I have to mentally drag myself kicking and screaming to my own dream, but I am always glad in the end that I stick with it. Really I do it because I feel bad as we made plans. Then the day of content creation begins to unravel and then the thread of ideas comes to life. This was the last film we captured called Factory Worker. It was a story of a spirit of industry that mysterious pulls us into a web of exploration and despite the reservation we must move on those impulses to make something magical.

This is the Baltimore Museum of Industry garment loft. It was glorious to bring in my featherweight baby and turn on the sewing machine to sing. Since all the other machines are silenced.

I love all these vintage garments. They are so beautiful and elegance. The provide my design inspiration of a time that I desire to bring back to life.
