Carpool Passenger

Trust the transformation! As you continue to commit to progress, you have got to have faith that by doing the intentional work that results will take place. Now they may not be exactly as you wish, but have the inner knowing to move ahead even when the uncomfortable and unfamiliar emotions of uncertainty steps in.

You have already been down the road you know many times and it has left you at the same place. So if you want things to be different than you have to get used to not knowing exactly what will happen on the other side. Trust your instincts stay on course, check you inner navigation and follow the strategy.

I have begun building out the launch of the Fashion Innovation Hub online platform and have found myself pushing back each step of the way. I am not sure when my work towards building my dream included a carpool spectator that keeps talking me out of things. Don’t let the mind stop you from living the life your heart keeps calling you to build.

This was a photoshoot we did in preparation for a public art piece that we hoped would be made in partnership with a legacy family owned metal building business. The vision was to honor the garment industry. The dress was on loan from Retropolitan and image captured by Pat Bourque.

Another one of those ideas that did not work out. Often I wonder if I would have done things differently or stayed focused or fought harder for things if the outcome might be different. Then I remember that I do have today to do things differently. Another Pat Bourque image.

Having fun with vintage fashion.

Building the FIH Fashion Innovation Hub platform has been a painful journey. I really think it was me getting in my head and making it so much harder than it needed to be. But I persevered and it is ready for launch this Saturday. I cannot wait to share this with the global fashion community.
